Leather Necklace, Bull Skull Necklace
This necklace was made using an antique bronze cow/bull skull pendant. We finished it with dark brown leather deerskin lace and a bronze Ox/Bull skull pendant. The necklace measures 17 1/4" in length.
The bull/ox is a symbol of level-headedness, stamina, provision, fertility, stability, virility, strength, helpfulness, determination and confidence.
Ox were some of the first creatures humankind domesticated to help with agrarian chores. Beyond having a strong back, Ox could be a food source giving it the additional symbolism as a provider.
The Ox has a fiery disposition, which makes the Ox a strong role model, but sometimes a little too bull-headed – literally. Some cultures, however, tie the Bull to moon worship because of this spirit animal guide’s crescent-shaped horns. This gives Ox the ability to bridge between two worlds – that of sun and moon, and that of intuition and reason. Nonetheless, the Ox has a very stubborn, fierce side that requires taming and guidance.

Gift wrapping and packaging
We hope our packaging looks as pretty as the gift inside! That is something that we take a lot of pride in. We have gift boxes, sheer organza bags, cards, etc. If you want something special, email us and we will do what we can to tailor it to the person you’re sending it to or the occasion. But if you’re splurging on yourself, rest easy, when it comes out of our workroom for shipping it will still look special!
Custom and personalised orders
A lot of our time is spent out at festivals, shows, events, etc. We specialize in one-of-a-kind handcrafted pieces. What you see online might not be what you’re looking for but you know what you want (at least a little). My sister, Beth, is a master at anything hemp, leather or metal. I love any kind of stone I can find and unique pendants on silk cord, leather and chain. Send us an email and together we will bring that vision to life. The best part of custom is having your hand in the design of it, you’ll get what you want.
Sizing details
Sizing can be difficult sometimes. The best thing to have is a soft measuring tape so you can get a feel of the length you want. Some people want pieces for certain necklines and it matters where you want it to sit. We’ve had people give or send us string they cut for the length. It’s funny I know but it worked in a pinch. There’s customers out there who can’t just come out and ask what size the person wears for their bracelet or something.
Care instructions
Quite honestly we try to make whatever we make out of quality materials. We don’t use silver or sterling silver because it tarnishes. There are times you do have something that tarnishes or darkens but we try the best we can to avoid that. We make our pieces and leave them exposed to the air so we can not sell a piece until we know the findings, crimps, clasps, spacers, etc. will not tarnish.
